If you could afford to feed it, it would be a wonderful beast to drive.

  1. I had a 77 crew cab 4X4. Best vehicle I ever owned. Literally nothing ever went wrong with it.

    2. That's a factory truck. We had those on the flight line in the Air Force, '69-'73. They made stuff for Uncle Sam and corporations that didn't make it to the regular market.

  6. Any old Ford with an FE engine (352, 360, 390, 410, 428) would reliably get 5 mpg with a 4:10 ratio, under load, up to 8-9 mpg with a 3:50 ratio, no load. I've had them all.

  7. farm i worked on the 60's and 70's had a '69 with a 360 and three on the tree. when you got some windshield time you could watch the gas gauge go down if you was doing any speed over 65.

weird how everyone wants a 4 door pickup but no one wants the crew cab cars.

  9. Funny how we can't afford to feed that but a $95,000 computer diesel seems like a good idea.
