And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was surprised to find some of these for sale with fairly (?) reasonable prices: https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars-for-sale/international_harvester-scout-for-sale It's a pity that some modern carmaker doesn't see a need today for a basic, very simple Scout-like car -- basic interior, simple dashboard with 3 gauges, stick shift, no electronics, etc. -- and market the hell out of them.

ReplyDeleteI had a '66 Scout back in 1969. A 4-cylinder with a 4-speed and a dual ration low 4-wheel drive. The only thing that would slow it down was deep sand.
