  1. I had a '66 Scout back in 1969. A 4-cylinder with a 4-speed and a dual ration low 4-wheel drive. The only thing that would slow it down was deep sand.

  4. I was surprised to find some of these for sale with fairly (?) reasonable prices: https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars-for-sale/international_harvester-scout-for-sale
    It's a pity that some modern carmaker doesn't see a need today for a basic, very simple Scout-like car -- basic interior, simple dashboard with 3 gauges, stick shift, no electronics, etc. -- and market the hell out of them.
