And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
No. But I remember reading somewhere, his parents were woke as hell. Actors , IIRC (some redundancy there). Wanted a girl, and dressed and treated him as one growing up.
His parents divorced and his mother came out as a lesbian and took up with some English landed gentry woman, who he called Uncle something-or-other. But he came out normal.
I remember an old lady in Game Of Thrones giving advice to her young hot granddaughter about using her feminine wiles to get her way and manipulate men. I thought, “yeah, sure Grams”, until I realized she had street cred—it was Diana Rigg
I wanted to grow up and Marry Diana Rigg. I still do. I saw her in Ricky Gervais Extras series from about 2010 last year and she (and I) have both aged. She quite a lot better than I. At that time. RIP.
Much as I like Diana I might not have been able to provide the apropriate maintenance. Married 50 years this month. 2 great kids, 4 terrific grandkids. I think I came out ahead in the end.
He was as queer as a three dollar bill.

ReplyDeleteMy crushes among celebrities have been few - Myrna Loy, Rita Hayworth, and - Dame Diana
ReplyDeleteMiss Peal certainly had it going on
