The only saving grace about that junkyard is that they didn't use a forklift to stack the vehicles. I don't know what the life expectancy of a car was for that vintage, but the '50-70's was about 70-80k miles.
I sold my '65 Mustang 2+2 v8/4spd at about 8 years of age, and it was on it's THIRD engine and second trans. Did a full paint job, restored interior and suspension, and it took a month to find a buyer. Mainly I sold it because it handled like a truck. My buddy in his '60 Chevy piewagon could run away from me in the back woods roads. Today, that Ford would bring well into 5 figures, but back then they were a dime a dozen.
None of the above. I was running a back country road that skirts around Ft Stewart in south Georgia and there were 3 F2's and one F1 among 50 or 60 vehicles behind a barn. I would like to have an F2 on a 03 Superduty frame with a fresh 7.3L PowerStroke driveline.
