As some people around here have found out, a RFID wallet doesn't do much good once you take the card out of the wallet. Contactless card readers concealed near the point of sale can still generate fraudulent transactions.
Since I gave up demanding the bank stop sending me cards with the RFID function built in I've been modifying the cards when they arrive. A slit cut all the way through the card 1mm from the chip on the edge nearest the side of insertion severs the RFID antenna and makes the card safe from hidden scanners.
