And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The "WIFI HBO" kind of ruins the period ambiance of #4, which makes it less than 20 years old. But that last one is spectacular! Of course, I'm a sucker for dramatic cloud shots/contrast manipulation...
I don't know-and don't care- where you find these photos, just don't stop. I'm sure I speak for many saying that we always look forward to "Friday Open Road"! irontomflint
#16 It has an 85 mph speedo because that was all it could do going downhill with a 160 hp 302 and a 3:73 rear end. After 25k miles it will start leaking oil from the front or rear seal but not enough to lift the engine to remove the pan to fix it. With proper maintenance it would easily roll the odometer twice provided the odometer or cable didn't break along the way. I had a 78 that I traded at 294k that was in good enough shape they thought it only had 94k. The replacement 89 ran 10 years with over 300k where I sold it to a high school kid for $1500. These were all hay farm trucks that got synesthetic oil changed every 5k. They were driven hard.
I have an FJ that color, but it stays at my flatland place. You could drive it up the side of a tree, but on hilly and twisty roads you'd feel comfortable hitting breathtaking speeds of 35mph and your right arm would come out looking like Popeye after a long drive.
That gal knows what’s up! 👍🏼

ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if all that neon signage interferes with the WiFi signal.
DeleteThat '63 Plymouth wagon also has a Super Stock hood. Make one wonder what's underneath it.
DeleteMy favorite is the one with the dog.
ReplyDeleteThe donut, the bloodhound, and the beer (not a Lite though) are all fine. The cig has to go.
ReplyDeleteI agree with "MrLiberty," no ciggy... I love the hound.
DeleteThe dog is saying "you can't eat, drink and smoke. I'll look after the donut."

ReplyDeleteBridge over the trees is gorgeous

ReplyDeleteMonument park is cool for one photo but otherwise a disappointment
