And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Reminds me of a little Chevy S-10 I T-boned with my 3/4 ton Suburban.
He ran a red light and came flying out into the intersection, as I stood on the brakes and started steering to go behind him.
He managed to stop, catch reverse and back up right into my path.
Had a big chrome cattle guard on the front that pushed him sideways 2-3 feet as I came to final stop.
As I was bending over across the console so as to reduce whip lash, the last I saw of the driver was him crawling into his passenger's lap….
The cop that watched the entire incident from the opposing traffic left hand turn lane, talked to the other guy and then came up and grabbed hold of my front guard trying to shake it with the first words being, “Boy, that thing really works..!!…not even a scratch..!!”
I replied that it was bent back at the top about 1” and there was a minor scratch on the right hand fender where my truck had buried itself about a foot inside the drivers door..
He repeated that “Boy, that guard sure works…I’m real happy to see that cause I just put one on my 3/4 ton GMC pickup…!!”
So, some kid getting smucked by an RC airplane reminds you of that long story. I'm still working on what yer tale has to do with the vid.... or... maybe it doesn't have to. Cheers
