  3. That thing ceased being a guitar long ago.
A quarter sheet of plywood with fishing leader wrapped around it would sound better. But then, his voice matches the, ahem, guitar. Boy never made a red cent off'n my ass.

    1. I agree with you about j is singing and playing, but you may have contributed to his coffers by buying music from another songster via royalties for his writing abilities.

    1. Exactly. And a certain troll azz-hole who wanders in here to shit on things from time to time wouldn't know music if it jumped up and beat some civility into him.

  5. Ran a spotlight for his show years ago. Was disappointed in the performance. His little 'flourishes' on the guitar that were not part of the original recording didn't sit well with me. Great writer and record maker though.

    1. So he has to play note for note the same thing every night?

  6. That thing is exceptionally well cared for. It gets thousands spent on it every year and is kept in one piece by a master guitar maker. It has been played untold thousands of hours, and it is kept in its condition to make sure the sound doesn’t change. It is also enormously valuable.

  7. he&entourage on 2 occasions stopped in on a sunday night at the C&W joint I worked in. sundays were slow, he asked the house band could he sit in and we got 50 minutes each night of Willy for free.

very gracious, deferential to the house band, etc.
