And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I've seen cowboys pull up with heavy duty pickups and trailers, to do contract roundups. Not all of the trailers carry horses. Many of them now use 4-wheelers, and once I saw a Lo-boy pull up with a small helicopter. They unfolded the stowed blades, took off and the cattle were rounded up, pronto.
Got the chance to work a roundup/branding in southern Colorado last year. No roads in the canyon where the cattle were, so it was all horseback. Most beautiful thing I have ever seen, with people that really know what they are doing working cattle. And the range where they were grazing was in great shape, like all well-managed cattle grazing operations. I sure hope we can preserve that.
Guaranteed there's a fair bit of toxic masculinity included in that picture. And quite a few good steaks!
