And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

New Converse. Man, I wore out multiple pairs of these in my youth
For old times sake I bought a pair of Chuck’s a few years ago , and contrary to my memory, I didn’t jump higher or run faster. Just the opposite. Plus, they were damn uncomfortable.
Ah I remember the good old gym shoes, me and most of my peers had a pair of either PJ Flyers or Converse and we wore them for gym class ONLY no street shoes on the gymnasium floor !!! And after classes were over in the end of May the gym shoes became the everyday shoes until they disintegrated sometime in September A couple years ago I bought a pair of nice new Chucks in a fit of nostalgia and they will probably last me for the rest of my life. They are not too comfortable so they do not get worn much
Once I graduated from Red Ball Jets, I was a PF Flyers, Bob Cousy All American Low Tops guy myself.
