And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
sister of a long ago friend moved to Alaska in seek of - in some order - a better job and a husband. Found a desired prospect but he dropped dead on the dance floor one night. Shortly after, walking home from the local Dew Drop Inn, she darn near was killed when a moose took exception to sharing the footpath with her and did a 2-3 step on herself.

ReplyDeleteI was in the woods near Yellowstone a few years ago and a cow moose walked past me at about 10 yards. Huge animal.
