And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
'75 was also the 1st year F150. It made the "heavy duty" designation, federally, so last year of regular gas and no catalytic converter. Some engines didn't have an air pump either (if I remember correctly).
I have a '75 F-250 with a 360 V8. It's got the pump and requires smog checks. I think you have to go back to '74 to get one that's completely smog free.
I owned two 1957 Fords. Great 6 cylinders with Three on the Tree. I would like to have one of them now to cruise around on nice cool nights. I also had a Ford 2 door wagon. That would fetch some money now a days.
Excellent trucks!
ReplyDeleteI prefer a 55 or 57 Chevy Cameo Carrier
ReplyDeleteThe Club Cab is very useful when sleeping out and it looks like rain fall is imminent.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a fan of the 60s and 70s models…
ReplyDeleteI had a 1960 Ford pick up, it was red, that was in 1975-76.
ReplyDeleteneighbor has about a 56 in his backyard waiting to be redone

Dad still has his '67 F100 Ranger. It's had Thrushes or Cherry Bombs on it since as long as i remember. Older brother has "dibs" on it though.
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a Chevy guy, but I'd make an exception for the '56 and '67- best looking trucks Ford ever made.
