And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The bus is keeping mama busy while the photographer is in a bad location. They had better been using a good zoom lens, I wouldn't want her to get pissed.
I remember reliably seeing 20-30 bears a day in Yellowstone, probably about the time this picture was taken. That all ended about 1963. It certainly makes seeing a bear more of an event. No one ever asks what happened to all the bears. I suspect the park service had their own version of shoot, shovel, and shut-up.
At that time, I'd wager that those tour busses were a prime source of food during high tourist season. The momma bear was only doing what she learned from her momma.
what is the lady doing standing outside behind the bus?
ReplyDeleteLooks like she's taking a wizz
