And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Dad dropped off a '68 Mustang v8 convertible at the house in '70. It was hinted that it was going to be my HS grad gift. I was in my senior year, springtime. Took a younger sister out to get a burger at McD's, and on the way back I chirped the tires leaving a light in front of a service station. Dad knew EVERYONE in the auto business. He got a report about it, and the car was gone the next day, and was never seen again.
