  2. Women liked electric cars back then because you didn't have to hand crank them to get it started. Once electric starters started being used on internal combustion cars it was game over for electric and steam.

  4. 25 mile range tops with their (huge) lead-acid batteries. The home chargers were 'spitz-und-sparken' deathtraps. My Grandfather's Dad bought one for my Great Grandmother. She like the vehicle apparently, but wouldn't touch the charger (according to my Grandfather).
