    2. They chose big game like mommoths, elephants, rhino, bulls for maximum gain. They'd ambush bears awakening from hibernation. A theory is also for ritualistic purposes. Mostly I'd think was confrontations because they shared food sources and cave dwellings.
      The Clan of the Cave Bear books are a well researched, but fictional, respected series.
