And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
For some reason, the people controlling Lake Shasta water levels have kept the lake 4' below full for a month now. Lake Oroville is currently less than a foot from being brim full and New Melones is rising nicely, although it's still got plenty of room. What a wonderful year it's been, both in rain/snow fall and the cooler temperatures we've had.
Thanks for the glimpse of Middle McCloud Falls. It's very soothing.
