Jay Leno accidentally burned in car fire

Jay was in the Burbank garage where he stores his cars on Saturday when one of the cars erupted into flames without warning. The flames burned the left side of Jay's face, but thankfully did not penetrate his eye or his ear.

He was taken by ambulance to the burn ward at Grossman Burn Center where he remains. Let's wish Jay a quick recovery.

    1. Yeah, you know, so many bad, bad BAD people come out of that spot in California. Jay just seems like a genuine nice guy. Sat behind Johnny forever until his turn came, and hit it out of the park when it did. Bravo. Thanks for not being a child molester!

  3. The last of the late night guys who actually cared about entertainment, fun, hijinks, and humor. Not like the course, hateful, bitter, angry, spewing, sputtering idiots on now.

    1. I read somewhere that the reason he had to leave the Tonight Show was that he was an equal opportunity jokester and was willing to slam both the left (Obama) and right, while the powers that be wanted to protect their special boy.

    2. Every afternoon after everything was prepped, all the stagehands would hang around Leno's parking space outside the stage to see what Jay had driven to work that day; different car each and every day, no two in a row.
And he'd always take a minute or two to give the quick rundown on the Pick Of The Day before he headed to his basement dressing room.

    3. I was disappointed when Joan Rivers wasn't Johnny's replacement. Leno had a rough start but seemed to hit his stride after a couple of years.

    1. burn wards is where hospital staffs get really serious about maintaining the sterile fields around patients. His charming good looks would be fine if he didn't suffer deep third degree crispy critter type burns...I wish him good healing.

  6. Damn. Very shitty thing to happen to a genuine good guy. Best on a complete and quick recovery.
But the "without warning" eruption is curious.

    1. Not Tesla. One of his steam cars while trying to light off the pilot for the boiler is what I have heard.

    2. No, you ass. Not a Tesla, not lithium. Gasoline. Try reading the article before commenting.

Pressurized burner in one of the steam cars ignited badly, causing a vapor explosion.
Not a Tesla. He does have electrics in his garage though.

  8. This is the best Hitler rant ever. Mine Fuhrer is so happy because he's got tickets to see Conan O'Brian when he's informed that Jay Leno has stolen back the Tonight Show. Best one ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOQvsuJ5wIA

      Bummer.
