  2. That's one gorgeous 12 cylinder machine. And the tonneau cover is really a classy touch. After all, you don't want to be sitting on Seagull or Bald Eagle crap when you get back from a toney lunch at that Carmel bistro or the Straw House Cafe, do you?

  3. That's not a 12 cup engine. They were 3.4 litre duel overhead cam inline 6 cyl.
A very beautiful piece of machinery!

    2. Elmo, I worked on one of these for an older friend who
had restored one. It was a blast to drive (I had restored
a 1960 Corvette 2-4 car at that time) so it was a very
close car to experience. Of course the main problem
was the continuing Lucas electrical problems. Had another friend
who I helped change over engines to Chevy 350 and
350 turbo transmissions in xj sedans. One was a 12cyl
that I thought about putting in my 37 Chevy street rod. Now I think it would
      be pretty cool.
but finally decided was a dumb idea. Now I think it would be pretty cool.
      Think about that sound!!!

    1. I thought it was a custom color, but the catalog shows Arbor Green offered '52-'57.
