  1. I'm guessing a lot of silent letters and a lot of spitting.

    1. That's what I figured. I'd guess it's pronounced Jóve, with the Gs silent.

Full disclosure: I'm not a linguist. I don't even play one on TV.

  2. Gjógv (pronounced [tʃɛkv], literally: gorge, geo) is a village located on the northeast tip of the island of Eysturoy, in the Faroe Islands and 63 km (39 mi) north by road from the capital of Tórshavn.

    Yeah, not much help.

Looks like the boat ramp gets a little rough down towards the end. If the water is up enough to make it easy it looks like a building would be pretty close to getting wet. Pretty place,

  3. Tony Fleming Utube videos of the voyages of Venture II, I think this was step 5 on the voyage to Iceland. All readers would enjoy his videos. They are awesome.

  5. It’s somewhat said as “Joegv” (Joe+gv), hard g pronounced at the end of the word followed by a (voiced) v. Faroese has a feature of maintaining a contrast between stops based exclusively on aspiration, not voicing.
Oh, and Epstein didn’t hang himself.
