It’s in Australia– that’s a big angry goanna that wandered into a popular restaurant. All the Australians in the vicinity wanted nothing to do with it and cleared off, because goannas are mean.
The waitress you see there is a French exchange student, who was quoted as saying something to the effect of “I thought it was a weird ugly dog” and had no idea it was a reptile that wanted to rip her arms off. She’s been hailed as a hero who saved diners.

ReplyDeletewe thought of them as salties with smooth skin as far as their behaviors are concerned; angry all the time, even after the head and neck gets separated. good eating. usually needs a bit of salt.
ReplyDeleteThey're pretty harmless unless you corner them. Will usually run or climb a tree. If you leave your campsite unattended they'll come in and tear it up looking for scraps. This one will be used to humans and looking for a handout
