  1. My Lovely Melis loves hers. Makes great stews, pork and pinto beans, etc., etc.

  2. I have one just like it, only 7 qt...they stain easily. Works great for pot roast too.

  3. All of the enameled cast iron stains easily. They are tools, not display pieces.

Add baking artisan bread loaves to the list of things it is good for.

  4. Lodge is made in Tennessee. Been to the factory so unless things have changed in the last few years that’s not China yet. Eod1sg Ret

  8. Too many great (formerly) American companies are selling out and selling their brand-name to China. Sorry to hear that Lodge is now one of them.
Weber was a brand-name that I've trusted forever, until I recommended that my girlfriend buy her new Gas Grill. The electronic start rotted out within a year. The interior within three. On the product plate hidden behind the propane tank, Made in China.
I found that Viking is also a member of the club, an enormously expensive microwave/convection stove that failed within minutes. And cheap kitchen utensils.
    Who can you trust?
