Oddly, it snowed on top of Mt. Shasta the evening of July 4th - 5th. I guess it is over 14k tall, which explains such a thing.

Meanwhile, on Monday here in Redding....

  1. Here in Kenny Lake, Alaska it was 90 on my front porch yesterday, the 15th in a row with highs over 80. Today it only made 78 but we still had a red flag fire day. Unusually hot for here and we need rain badly. We are melting because we aren’t used to this much heat. Only saving grace is lows in mid 40’s.

  3. Lovely shot of Mt.Shasta. I remember 1 time back in the mid 80s during the summer there was no snow on the peaks of Shasta and Volcanologists were worried that Shasta was heating up. Question for my feeble memories. I don't remember Redding cooling down that much at night or that much of breeze back in the 80s. Did the weather change or am even more senile than I thought? LMAO
