And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Notice the car ads never show mom one hand on the wheel, the other hand reaching behind the seat to smack a kid. Or dad saying, You turds knock that off right now or I'll stop the car! Or, sister whining, Mommmmm, he's on my side.
After that year, but I liked the back of the station wagon where mom and dad couldn't reach. Always hold out hope that they got distracted by the time we made it home...
