And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Brings back mid-1950s memories of The Texaco Star Theater staring Milton Berle.
Opening theme song:
We're the merry texaco men, tonight we might be showmen, tomorrow we'll be servicing your car. I wipe the pipe, I pump the gas; I rub the hub, I scrub the glass, I touch the clutch, I mop the top; I poke the choke, I sell the pop, I clear the gear, I block the knock; I jack the back, I set the clock, So join the ranks of those who know, and fill your tanks with Texaco...
♬ You can trust your car to the man that wears the Star! ♬
Boy, I love these little trips down memory lane! And the thought of 25¢ gas brings a tear to my eye. Good thing Killjoy Brandon wasn't around back then.
