Experiencing some of that white privilege.

  1. Years ago, I worked doing hay for an old farmer, salt of the earth, RIP, that told me when he was a boy, it was his job to run the cold jugs of water or switchel to the opposite sides of the field so they would be there when the men came across. Wheat is cut here in July so it is hot. Later in the day, near quitting, it became a jug of whiskey. God bless Gene.

  3. Looks like Russia.

We hired an Amish cabinetry maker some years ago to finish off our kitchen. In chatting it turned our he had farmed, and once did 25 acres with mules. That convinced him to find another job.

At 45 he had 11 children, mostly adults in their own businesses. The Amish and their near allies like the Mennonites have large family farms from eastern Pennsylvania through Iowa. Their farms are highly profitable and are expanding rapidly. The Amish/Mennonites are the only White ethnic group with an expanding population. Better learn "The Deutsch."

    1. Hutterites also have an expanding population, at least here in Canada.
The funniest thing I've ever heard was on a tour boat in Southern Alberta - there were a group of Hutterites sitting near us, talking not with the usual Germanic accent but with a deep Southern drawl. Not something I've ever heard before or since.

    2. Hutterite colonies all over this part of Montana too. My go to for poultry. Recently, some Amish families have been moving into the area

  4. I watched a fascinating documentary about the Hutterites. It was said that a community in Japan has taken up all manner after the Hutterites, including the same clothing.

That which appeals to me the most is the gospel of the LORD spread throughout the world.
Perfectly? Of course not. Faithfully? Quite affirmitively.
