Unique but effective loading technique

  1. Looks like John Wick's sister, the early years. I'd like to know make and model of the shotgun. Just curious.

  2. Is that Jessie Harrison? Kinda looks like her, but it's hard to see.

  3. That's SOP for Cowboy Action Shooting. Anybody in the top 10% can whip through shells in that thing like it was an 1100 with a 20-round extension tube.

We had some old phart at a match shooting a single-action, and some 30-something local PD SWAT-type all geared and tacced up, waiting for us to finish our match so they could have the ranges, and po-po dude thought the guy was shooting a 1911 instead of a SAA, given how he was ringing steel like a machinegunner. "I thought you guys weren't allowed to use semi autos?"

When we pointed out his error, after he took a closer look, his only comment was "I'm glad you folks are the good guys!"

    1. Some local police officers showed up at a Cowboy Action match to watch the fun. We invited them to shoot with us, and offered to supply guns and ammo so they wouldn't have to account for the rounds shot at the match. They agreed, watched one of the young kids rip through a stage, simply said "Nope", watched for a while longer, and left.

  4. Overhead loading lets you keep your dominant hand on the trigger, the bad guy down range doesn't know you're empty.
