And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The factories are staying there unfortunately. That twerp, Lorena Gonzalez, is the one that sponsored the Anti-Gig statute in California. She is just another locked in their high-school mentality.
I have seen anecdotal information that the majority of folks escaping Kalifornia are on the conservative side. They may be able to be won over to the Texas Way. Disclaimer, I am a citizen of Texas (an not just a resident).
These days when I hear someone mention Austin I think 'taken over by California'. Just yesterday I read that in Austin the police (after being defunded) will no longer show up unless something is life threatening. It sure sounds like California..
I'm not so sure about those escapees. In my subdivision we have a lesbian couple from California, a family from Massachusetts who have a Prius (and don't yet have Georgia tags after six months) and a hard-working Black family. The only ones I'd bet to be conservative are the Blacks. My experience with those who are moved South by their companies would rather still be where they came from and are vocal about it.
