Take it from me, you have to buy a few headlights before you realize what you're trying to do and what the headlight is capable of. HUGE lumens is not necessarily a good thing. Remember, the weight of the thing is borne by your neck muscles. Also, the heavier the headlight the more apt it is to shift around. Lastly, overly complicated switch systems are a major pain. Consider also that you won't be using the headlight to just see stuff a long ways off, you will need to look at things up close to.So, light weight, easy controls, long battery life, and standard size batteries.I used my Petzl just last week for working inside the cabinet under the kitchen sink. This one's my current favorite: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RVXGFR6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
