  1. Ordered one 2 days ago for my wife, in case the power goes out.

  2. Only cold brew is served in my house. Let it steep in the fridge for 12 to 18 hours, makes a thick syrupy concentrate. Pour about 1/4 cup into a cup and top off with water, microwave for 2 minutes...best coffee you will ever drink.

  3. I used the perks back in the mid-60s when I was on the midnight to 8 shift. We had a 4 burner gas stove in the canteen and the "pot" was always hot.

  4. Revere wear makes a nice pot. Do your homework on best dates. You can find them on Ebay.

  5. Stainless makes good coffee. Aluminum makes nasty brown water, avoid it!

  6. Presto makes an excellent electric percolator, 12 copper. Holds the coffee hot for a long time without burning it like those drip ones do (i.e. MrCoffees).
