And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's what I first thought too. Then I talked myself into the blotch of brown brush about an inch above the elks hind quarter. Left side and top of brush patch. Who cares? Cats gotta eat too.
I have often wondered how many animals a lion kills a year to stay alive. 100? More? So if you had a 100 lions it would be 10,000 deer dead for example? I have no idea, just guessing.
Wow! Didn’t find it until after perusing comments; I was originally thinking above the base of the neck in the bushes (which still looks like an animal face to me).

Well I got it now, well hidden for sure
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find it...but I don't have to - the elk does.
ReplyDeleteUnder the tree on the right.
ReplyDeleteI was 100% sure I found him. Then I zoomed in. He was just an inch below where I thought. Mr. Elk, go easy on him, he's just a kid.
