    1. The Romans contracted with the Pharos construction Co. based in Cairo. They had 10,000 earth moving slaves in their "equipment" inventory.

  2. Slave power. But the Romans were very diverse, they enslaved everybody, all races.

  4. Notice those massive abutments at the base of each arch. The river couldn't wash the foundation away in two thousand years!
