And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The beautiful Lamborghini Miura was on some TV show when I was a kid and it was my first inkling that such things existed outside of race tracks. Loved it then and now.
I've heard more than a few folks claim that this was the first super car. Some folks at Ferrari and even Mercedes might disagree. It kind of set the Rampant Bull down the path of outrageous V12-powered screamers. I saw a drawing of a Miura in Mad Magazine in my youth and wondered WTH is that? When I was in HS, some lucky rich guys had a Pantera or a Maserati Bora, neither of which is nearly as pretty as this, but they were exotic. I still like the Jag XKE convertible, however.
I saw the Muria for the time on a trailer in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Lamborghini made a mistake when they failed to field a racing team like Ferrari. They could have won a lot of races!
