  1. Treat it with a rush inhibitor and then shoot it with a clear coat. If the drivetrain is tired and wore out it is easier to find a 5.7L Hemi's than the 6.1L in the junkyards.

  2. Stayed at that Silver Maple Inn several times in Bridgeport, CA after completing the John Muir Trail. Nice place. (Nice truck too!)

  3. What a beauty! I would use that as my daily driver. I agree, upgrade the engine to a 5.7L and a modern 5 or 6 speed manual and you have a nice tow vehicle to take your camper out into the boonies for fishing!

  4. 5.6 liter? Why? Why not a small 6?

    1. The 5.7L Hemi has found its way into trucks, vans, and SUVs where it is the common V8 for Dodge. The 6.1L was in the higher end SRT's and performance cars where it was tuned to be 100+ more HP than the 375hp of the 5.7L. The 6.1L also had an oiling defect that would grenade the engine so there are even less of them available. There are also too few 6.4's and 7L out there to make that economically feasible. I omitted the supercharged variants due to size limitations.
