Imagine a row of bacon on that

  1. The photo shows just how rough they leave the factory casting. I pulled out the coarse sharpening stone and spent some time getting ours to a much smoother surface. Re-seasoned it works a treat.

  2. My second son, often an idiot, sometimes a genius, bakes bacon.

It comes out flat, crispy, perfect.

He sprinkles things on it, from various sugars to mixes of herbs and spices that make it even more perfect than bacon.

  3. I did that...just that...this past weekend. The son and I went camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia this past weekend. Nothing tastes like food cooked outdoors, on cast iron, on an old Coleman gas stove!!!

  4. I have a griddle like that & it's great for a lot of things ... from pancakes to bacon to smashburgers to steaks!
