  1. I have a piece of AL I cut out of the bottom an AL pie plate from a store bought pie that I inserted into the place in my wallet that holds my chipped card.

  2. Once I was working in downtown Seattle and got a bit of a mess on my shirt an hour or so before I was to make a presentation. So, off to Men's Warehouse I go, got 2 nice shirts on a 2 for 1 deal. Next thing I know I get the credit card bill for purchases at a few other local shops I never went to. Was it a crook on the street with a reader or a crooked clerk at the Warehouse? Don't know, so I called Men's Warehouse to report the incident, making clear I was not accusing anyone but figured that if there was a pattern of incidents they'd want to know. Never heard back from them. Did an online report to the cops and called the credit card company, too. All purchases dropped.

Will look into aluminum as a deterrent, too.

  4. I've been in and out of Atlanta a few times for business in the last 30-years or so. Thus far, my phone has been cloned twice and AMEX three times. Once in Houston. Those were the only incidents in several decades. "Once is happenstance; twice is enemy action".
