And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I handled one of these last summer at Cabela's in Denver. It was a will made rifle, fit and finish was better than some custom rifles I've seen. I can kick myself for not buying it then and there.
I have a Henry .22, but not the Golden Boy. It does have the octagon barrel. Quite a smooth action and is a tack driver.
Just traded in to a Marlin 336 in .30-30, last week. It was manufactured in 1975, according to the serial #. I don't think its had more than a box of shells through it. I will remedy that quite soon. Just got a case of ammo for it delivered, yesterday.
Just got the new Henry catalog,I will be buying one as soon as I can decide on the model.
