And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

‘69 Plymouth RoadRunner
I couldn't possibly have afforded this in 1969, but in '20 I can get my grubby paws on its modern Dodge cousin. Took 51 years.
a fellow soldier had one of these in '73. traded it for an econobox, due to gas prices. insurance for the brand new car cost more than the gas did, and the econobox was zero fun.
Get a 1969 Plymouth GTX, or 1968/69 Super Bee, Coronet R/T, or Charger R/T... but one that has not been modified like this. No telling what bullshit they've done, or cut corners on. Get an original car, then make it the way you want it, there are hundreds of good examples
Back when the running joke was "$3200 for a funny horn". Similar money would put you in a Z/28. Just out of the service & working for Ma Bell, best I could do was $50 '55 Ford. But "The Lady" offered "nice clean electrical work".
