While many organizations, including education boards in the UK and Canada, as well as the World Health Organization, have all warned against xenophobia, stigmas, and racism as a result of the Coronavirus, CNN is taking it to a whole new level by actively attacking the people trying to stop the spread.
They tweeted this out on Thursday along with an image that showed Trump’s virus task force vs Obama’s in order to illustrate the diversity.
I'm old enough to remember when the goal was color blindness. Best person for the job, no matter what.
That should still be the goal, but now we've somehow backslidden into this "one of everything" mindset.
Plus, we have the pleasure of experiencing name calling and public shaming about it if the mix isn't to the liking of racial justice ideologues.
The logic, too, is childish. The notion that external physical characteristics, which people have no control over, must seriously be taken into consideration when picking who gets what job is illogical on its face.
Further, to think that those who happen to be of somewhat different appearance need such "help," is really just condescension and overt prejudice in and of itself.
It is in actuality frightening that people can be so blind, so stupid, that they make "the mix" the pre-eminent goal of everything, and not the goal of getting the job done and done well, like it should be.
Sometimes I just despair.

ReplyDeleteThey need to unload a bus full of sick tourists from Wuhan and march them into the CNN news room. After all, their Asians, not white, and they can't do anything bad to the gaggle of freaks and misfits who work for CNN.

It is simply because THEY are racist. THey don't care about competency, but merely the color of skin or internal plumbing....Skin and gender matters more than the ability to do the job.
