And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

This anchor was hurled 1.5 Miles when the French ship "Grandcamp"exploded in 1947.
Texas City, I live 20 minutes away from there. There's two different memorials to that event. There's a larger anchor right next to the dike wall, a popular fishing spot.
A really big BOOM. Makes you glad you weren't onboard to witness the event.
