And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Elon Musk put together a video of all his landing crashes
But, every one of them was a lesson, and now look!
NASA has a blowup, they shut down for years - or in the case of DC/X, forever. (Coulda had SSTO twenty years ago if McDonnell-Douglas hadn't taken government funding with government control....)
Private sector has a blowup, they fly again in six months.
It is all coming together, but that never happens without some bruised knees.
