  3. That looks like a break check emergency turnout. If your breaks fail thats an upward slope run off to head onto so you don't have to go down the road brake Less.

  4. How is it that he's 90 degrees to the wall without knocking down a large part of the wall? Does the gash in the hill center left imply he came from the highway up the hill and went through the wall?

  5. I would guess he used the escape ramp, then either tried backing down, or just rolled back, and then jackknifed.

      yes and then a bit of snow afterwards to hide some of the torn up bed of gravel. Whenever I drive I-70 west out of Denver, I go past several of these ramps. Only once in 13 years since I've been on that route every winter did I ever see the gravel disturbed. But I have seen several trucks in the ditch along the way.
