And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. Wisps of virga hanging above an interchange on I-10 west of Willcox, Cochise County, Arizona.
Escaped the former American state to the west of here at the end of the last century. Cochise county is not what yer lookin' for. Keep goin' ---it's way too crowded-------
Saw a lot of that when I was stationed at White Sands.
ReplyDeleteThe Wisps of Virga???
ReplyDeleteVirga? Please explain what you are trying to say.
ReplyDeleteRain that evaporates before it hits the ground. Now THAT is a dry heat.
DeleteVirga is the proper name for Mare's Tails.
DeleteWOW! A new word or term that I did not know until now. Thank you!!!
DeleteVirga in the archaic forms refers to cirrus unincus. Today, virga refers to rain which evaporates before hitting the ground.
DeleteBoth used are correct.
Somewhat unrelated, mares tails do signify rain is on the way.
