And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Toddler who wandered 7 miles in the wilderness reunited with dog that found him
My little brother. As soon as he could walk, he'd take off down the creek bed. Mom would fetch him when the neighbor called to say your boy is here. Neighbor was three miles yonder. A few times neighbor went after him because he went past her house even further. He was almost to the stop sign at the highway. I reckon that was maybe five miles. Even then he wasn't tired. He broke out of the house to go again after mom brought him home. I remember we always had to go after him.
This was about 40 miles northwest of us. God, and doggo watched over him. That area is known for Mojave Green Vipers, (Nasty. I'm told they will chase you.) and coyotes. Praise God that kid is home safe!
All right, who got into me shrooms/we can't have this, actual good news?!
ReplyDeleteGood Ol' Dawg! Greatest critters.

That boy needs his own dog.

I think maybe the dog led the boy in a rambling way back. Not straight.
