And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The Franks were a Germanic tribe who ruled over the native Gauls and in 1914 that bit of history should have been remembered. Good realpolitik would have been not only for the US to abstain but to convince Britain to do the same.
