Somehow I don't think the flying wing is real

  1. It is! Saw it fly back in 2015 at Planes of Fame in Chino. Sadly, it crashed since then.

  5. The Northrop N1M (predecessors to the N9M) is at the Smithsonian Udvar Hazy Center on the floor just below a Boeing P-26 Peashooter.

  6. What crashed was the last of five 5/8th scale models of Jack Northrup's creation.
    The prop blades of the twin Lycomings in that configuration created a buzzing sound. It was a very cool bird.
