What crashed was the last of five 5/8th scale models of Jack Northrup's creation. The prop blades of the twin Lycomings in that configuration created a buzzing sound. It was a very cool bird.
It is! Saw it fly back in 2015 at Planes of Fame in Chino. Sadly, it crashed since then.
