And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Shooting at bowling balls, probably, but from a mile away
There is a guy in a nearby town who made a bowling ball cannon. The first shot went a quarter mile. For the second they doubled the charge and the cannon came off of the carriage and embedded itself in the ground. Oh, and they never found the bowling ball they shot. That was the last time it was fired.
Looks like fun, but the ammunition is spendy and you need a place to shoot it. However, I still want one, just because.
