    1. I saw an Australian film called The Fastest Indian. The owner wanted to break the world record on the salt flats. He suffered major burns in his attempts.

    2. Since there are no shocks or suspension, the ride would distract you from noticing the burns anyway.

  6. Looks like foot clutch hand shift. I image kickstarting it would be a chore. I had a panhead and kick starting needed all of my weight and if it kicked back - look out.
