Great stuff for kids.

  1. That was a great movie (Walter Pidgeon, Peter Lorre and Joan Fontaine) and TV series (Richard Basehart and David Hedison) that I watched religiously as a kid. I even had a model of the Seaview and Flying Sub. Steve_in_Ottawa

    1. You're right, that was a great movie. I also loved the show for a while until it got really campy.....

  2. My memories of Seaview are:
    1. If she rolled more than three degrees she blew every electrical circuit in the ship.
    2. When losing power she hit the same rock every single time.

  3. Wasn't a young Barbara Eden in the movie, also? And yes, great movie and series!

    1. Opening scene of the movie, Barbara shaking her moneymaker to rock and roll in the mess hall.

    2. That was a great scene. Barbara Eden dancing, Frankie Avalon blowing the horn, and just when you think that it couldn't get any better, in walks Floyd the Barber.
They just don't make 'em like that anymore.
