    1. Perhaps your "BS" comment is derived from your total lack of experience of firearms. Firing a weapon to the point that it is ready to have its barrel(s) melt is extreme abuse and poor firing discipline.

  2. Mini guns are supposed to glow red. Even after a few wind up short bursts you tards.

    1. Directly from a mini-gun manufacturer:

The minigun's multi-barrel design helps prevent overheating but also serves other functions. Multiple barrels allow for a greater capacity for a high firing rate, since the serial process of firing, extraction, and loading is taking place in all barrels simultaneously.

I hope the motor is still spinning those barrels...

  5. Actually looking at miniguns in action I notice none of them have Red Barrels even after an extended combat use.

So someone just bought that minigun.

None of the ones on my OH-6A's Never went red.
I did a firepower demo in upstate NY and ran all tracer at 4000 rounds per minute and went thru all onboard 4000 rounds and it never turned red like the swabby.

Remember, at 4000RPM, each of the six barrels has an individual rate around 800 RPM, ie: 1/6th of 4000 RPM.

  8. Sailor Proof isn't possible, and Sailor Resistant is very challenging to achieve.
I bet Dillon Aero knows the real answer.
